  14 OCTOBER 2004. ST. PETERSBURG

PETROMED Holding supported publishing of the first guidebook commemorating the 125-anniversary of the All-Russia Pushkin Museum. The book guides through museum’s main expositions, including the Pushkin Apartment Museum on Moika, 12, Lyceum, Pushkin Country House, Nekrasov Apartment Museum, Derzhavin Museum and Contemporary Russian Literature Exposition.


  JULY–AUGUST 2004.
    THE REPUBLIC OF KARELIA. SETTLEMENT OF VALAAM


On 25 August, PETROMED Holding charitably donated to Valaam Saviour's Transfiguration Monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchy SMILE Mini 02-3, a dentistry unit completed with the dentistry compressor, working chairs for a physician and assistant, GP-20 air sterilizer and a starting set of dentistry expendable materials.

Archimandrite Pankraty, Monastery Hegumen, accepted the donation and transferred it for gratuitous using to Valaam Local Hospital. The hospital is located close to the monastery main manor area. It works for all brethren community, as well as pilgrims and tourists free-of-charge. The facilities were duly certified.

  APRIL — AUGUST 2004. TOWN PUSHKIN

In April–August 2004, PETROMED Holding charitably delivered modern medical equipment to Sophia Retirement Home at the Dormition (Sophia) Cathedral of the Moscow Patriarchy in the town of Pushkin, the Leningrad region.

The company prepared design and engineering specifications for licensing and a package of documents on legal status and legal support of the Home activities.

PETROMED Ltd. , ROSMEDPROEKT CLL , and Legal Department of PETROMED HOLDING assisted the action.

PETROMED HOLDING received the Letter of Gratitude from Sophia Cathedral’s prior archpriest Gennady Zverev.

  DECEMBER 2001. ST. PETERSBURG

In 2001, PETROMED Holding supported Zimin Publishing House to carry out CalendART projects presenting hits of St.- Petersburg outstanding culture personalities.

The modern art declares itself in series, reflecting world variety and polysemy of the certain phenomenon. Nowadays the artist discerns more often real people in consumers' mass and aspires to establish tangible feedback with them. The art serialising served as a n impulse to develop an idea of interactive creativity. Moreover, a modern view on connection between the art and new technologies leads to idea of us ing the art reproduction as a basis for a qualitatively new art consumption and to draw the art nearer to wider audience. This principle has underlain CalendART project. Zveriki (Little Pets or Animallets) and Angels of St.- Petersburg were the projects carried out with the Holding's support.

Nadezhda Kuznetsova's Zveriki images convey a rare sensation of an infrequent pleasure of "recognition" something never seen before. People of different age fall under their charm and unconditionally recognize these characters to be theirs. The calendar is multipurpose: it proceeds with the original game with the same little pets. The edition has partly been donated to children from children's homes, kindergartens and educational institutions, and children's hospitals. [read in details>>]

An angel flying in the sky and crowning a steeple of the Peter and Paul's Cathedral is one of the Petersburg 's symbols. Once Alexander Block got invitation to Pulkovskaya observatory to watch stars. Having looked in a telescope, the poet exclaimed “Angel! I see an angel!” The astronomer had slightly changed the tube inclination angle and the gilded cathedral steeple with the apple-sphere, upholding a familiar figure with a cross, became clearly seen in the night Petersburg sky... The calendar project also embraces Terpsihore Faces of Alexander Kitaev, photographs of St.- Petersburg ballet stars, and his Metamorphosises. Other Petersburg of Dmitry Konradt. His photos have formed a basis for creation of an interactive product, a colour -musical suite, recorded on an applied CD-disk.
